How does the channel 4 product use media forms to represent/brand the channel itself?

The inspiring advert was called "Meet the Superhumans" and formed part of their promotional material for coverage of the Paralympics. I believe that the advertisement produced by channel 4 about The 2012 Paralympic Games represented the channel. I believe this due to the fact that Channel 4 isn't really a main channel and isn't as popular as ITV or BBC, like the Paralympics isn't the most popular and biggest game because the Olympic Games in general seems to be more popular and a lot less people would watch the Paralympics compared to the actual Olympics and Winter Olympics.

Furthermore, I also believe that the advert represented channel 4 because during the ad towards the end there was text that appeared on the screen saying “its time to do battle”. I think that this quote represents the paralympics and channel 4 as the athletes taking part in the paralympics are battling the other athletes in order to get the medals and win. However, I think that channel 4 are battling the other channels on TV like ITV and BBC for views and their audience.

Also, I think that the jump clips and the use of up beat music (song called Harder Than You Think- Public Enemy) represented the channel because a lot was happening and it was all exciting and you wouldn't want to miss it.

At the start of the ad there wasn't any music and there was just a basketball rolling around on the floor, I think that this represented channel 4 from the start when it wasn't popular at all and there was no action and nothing was really happening. From then on with the music and clips increasing pace and more action happening I think that it was showing the escalation of the development of the channel.
