Logo research

Research for logos of TV companies

BBC stands for British Broadcasting Corporation. Meaning that by having it in the name of the company. It shows that they're proud to be British and also that the shows that they broadcast reflect the nations, regions and diverse communities in which we live in. The colours black and white shows that the company is an old classic and its been around since the TVs were in black and white. The squares being close together shows that there are no adverts which will be favorable to viewers but it also indicates that the programmes broadcasted are fast-paced and never stopping.

I think that its called Dave because Dave is a common name, meaning that its well loved so it shows that the channel may be well loved by its viewers. And also that the programmes they show are well loved too.

This is the repeat (+1) channel of the channel Dave but instead of calling it Dave +1 they've cleverly called it Dave ja vu instead. They've added a bit of humor and also they've made it more memorable for the viewers. Aside from the fact that they've played around with the wording and saying that because its the repeat channel meaning that whats been showed has been seen before, they've used "ja vu" which is french which may indicate that there's a wide variety of shows and not just one type. They've used the same font and colours to be cohesive.

Itv's logo is quite different from the other logos that I've used for my research so far. This is because firstly this logo is in bright colours which indicates that the company stands out from the rest and also that as there is a wide variety of colours, there is a wide variety of shows, However, as the top part of the "t" is black it indicates that even though there's new shows that are broadcasted there will always be the classics that everyone loves. Furthermore, the letters are joined together as even though a lot of the shows are different they all link together.

This logo shows that firstly it brings parents and children together as it has the outline of a parent and a child. It clearly represents the company as it has "nick jr" on the adult and the child but the "jr" quite rightly is on the child. They've used the bright colours as it indicates that its a kids channel but also it may indicate that if your child watches this channel it may have a bright future and will become brighter as some of the programmes on there are fun but also slightly educational.

The cartoon network logo is in black and white as it shows that the old classic programmes (like powerpuff girls) that we watched when we were younger are still being shown today. It also shows that the programmes are simple and easy to enjoy. They've used the initials of cartoon network as its easy to remember and recognisable, Its called it Cartoon Network because this is where all the cartoons are shown.
